F.A.Q

3D Kiwi Design is a New Zealand-based company running out of Wellington.   We create a range of 3D Printed items and are always adding to our collection of products

Print Material

Most of out products are printed using a material called PLA ,  however we do also use PETG, TPU and ASA for special items that need these materials

PLA

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a thermoplastic, and a bioplastic, meaning that it is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane.

PETG

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is the most used plastic in the world. It has found use in textiles, consumer products, and medical industries, among others. Its most iconic use is as plastic bottles and containers for tupperware, soft drinks, water, and more.

TPU

TPU, or thermoplastic polyurethane, is a versatile material that bridges the gap between flexible rubber and rigid plastic. Its unique combination of elasticity, durability, and resistance to abrasion, oil, and grease has made it a popular choice for various 3D printing applications

ASA

ASA filament (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) is the perfect all-purpose 3D printing thermoplastic, suitable for many different applications. It has a similar chemical makeup to ABS plastic but offers three improvements: better mechanical properties, superior aesthetics and it's UV resistant.
