Are you experiencing difficulties with filament adhesion to your build plate?
As I watch the initial layer being printed, I'm hoping fervently that nothing shifts or becomes detached.
This is a common issue with many 3D printers today. While things are improving with better build plates and more advanced printing techniques, the question is always in the back of your mind: Will it stay put?
I have seen many suggestions on the internet, and some manufacturers even send you glue sticks because they know it is such an issue. Now, I have looked at using a glue stick, a common technique; however, what a mess it makes on the build plate and the print itself. It does not make for a pleasant experience.
What I have discovered has given me excellent results; wait for it . !!!!!
HAIRSPRAY !!!!!. That's right, plain old hairspray from the supermarket; I purchased a non-scented, strong-hold hairspray and have never had a problem with a print sticking to the plate.
There is no mess on the plate, and the print does not require any cleaning up. Win-win!!!
So give it a go, you will not be disappointed!
